I had a decent overnight stay at Travelodge Newcastle Under Lyme Hotel while heading to Scotland. The location is super convenient, right by the M6, and the staff were friendly and efficient. My room was clean and comfortable, but there was some noise from traffic outside, especially since I faced a roundabout. Overall, it fits the bill for a budget stopover.

My stay at Travelodge Newcastle Under Lyme Hotel was a mixed bag. While the staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean, I did notice some concerns regarding size and noise levels. Additionally, some dining options left much to be desired. Overall, it provided good value given the price, but improvements could be made. 😊

7.0/10

My stay at Travelodge Newcastle Under Lyme was quite decent overall. The hotel is well-placed for access to local amenities and pubs, which made my evening easy. However, the room was on the smaller side and lacked some essential features, especially when it came to power outlets. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to assist me, which really made a difference in my experience.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean and comfortable, though it was small and lacked adequate power outlets near the bed. Additionally, the bathroom felt cramped and had some maintenance issues like peeling paint and a shower curtain that didn't properly contain water.
Service
9.0
The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. They accommodated my early check-in request, which was greatly appreciated during a difficult time, and they even brought gluten-free options for breakfast upon my request.
Location
8.0
The location is ideal for exploring bars and restaurants within walking distance, as well as being a short taxi ride from the hospital and local attractions. Shopping is also very convenient with a Lidl nearby.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed the food, with one evening meal being particularly delicious. Although the breakfast had limited options for my dietary needs, the staff ensured to provide alternatives, which was a nice touch.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel offered basic facilities like tea and coffee making options and a dining area, it could benefit from improvements like better soundproofing between rooms and an overall update of room amenities.

Though the rooms were small and the breakfast could have offered a bit more for specific dietary needs, I appreciated the clean environment and the good value for money.
